Take this time to dive in deep... through meditation, yoga, pranayama, delicious food and good company. All the tools needed to experience a balanced retreat. You'll return homes with tools you can use to keep the journey moving forward.

Flights & getting to Tulum

Please book your flight to Cancun International Airport (CUN). Flights arrive daily from all over the world and there are tons of great options out there for securing affordable flights.

Tulum is located 1.5 hours south of Cancun and it's a direct shot on the highway to get to town. Various options for ground transportation include:
• booking a private van or car
• hiring a taxi at the airport
• hopping on a local bus (ADO).

PLEASE NOTE: Entrance to Mexico requires a valid passport! So please make sure your passport is valid with an expiry date no greater then 6 months after arrival date for your retreat.

Who is this retreat open to?
We believe that yoga belongs to everyone and that holds true for our retreats. Every body and every body is welcome!

What if I'm a beginner or don't have a regular practice?
Retreats are the perfect way to immerse yourself in the practice and deepen wherever you're at within your practice. Our guides have loads of experience teaching to all levels and making sure that everyone feels taken care of. 

Is Tulum safe?
Most definitely! As with any new place and when traveling, keep items close to you and don't accept drinks from strangers. 

Should I bring pesos or use usd dollars while in Tulum?
USD dollars are accepted but you'll find you're better off bringing Mexican pesos to spend. These can be bought before arriving or use your debit card at ScotiaBank or HSBC in town to get the best rates. 

Can I stay extra days or come earlier?
Please message us to see if there is 'room at the inn'. If not, we can help you find another place to stay. It's common to come to Tulum and not want to leave... so if you have the opportunity to stay longer, we endorse that 100%!

What should I budget for meals?
This all depends on how fancy you like to eat. There are a TON of options in town to chose from that are budget friendly. Beach restaurants are typically more expensive. Each room is equipped with a mini fridge making buying fresh foods available to you. There is also an on site kitchen for use.

Packing tips for the Tulum lifestyle

 

WHAT TO PACK:
Tulum is a casual beachy town and comfort is name of the game. Light and airy fabrics are best. Dry wicking yoga clothes are a life saver. Tulum essentials packing list:
*passport
*sunglasses, flip flops and beach gear/wear
*yoga clothes
*regular clothes for dinners out, exploring town
*biodegradable sunscreen and insect repellant
*books & journals for down time

TIP: we usually like to travel in comfy runners that we can then use when exploring, biking or climbing ruins
TIP: pack extra underbelongs... these we find we never have enough of when we go from yoga to breakfast to the beach back to yoga, etc...
TIP: We will have yoga mats and props, but we usually recommend that travelers bring their own yoga mat or a travel yoga mat and whatever props they normally use.

Yoga has led me to find freedom on a physical as well as a spiritual level. Ever since I started practicing almost 20 years ago I realized that yoga offers something different from other disciplines. Since then I have been able to open my body, heart, mind and spirit with deep connection, and I am more than thrilled to share this with others.

TEACHING STYLE:
Connecting breath with movement is extremely important to me, and my classes are creative, smooth and sweet but also strong and introspective. I am constantly searching for new ways to explain alignment with clarity and purpose while respecting the living and forever-changing aspect of asanas.
